Nuno felting - how it's done

1. Lay out the fabric (silk usually) on top of bubble wrap and cane mats. Start placing the wool fibres on the silk, adding any extra fibres like silk. � 2. Wet the wool with soapy water. Turn over the piece and repeat the above. 3. Roll up the scarf in the bubble wrap and cane mats. 4. Keep rolling backwards and forwards until the wool has felted (for around 30 minutes, unrolling now and then to check progress). When felted slap the scarf on a hard surface for 10 minutes if you want the wool to shrink more and the silk to crinkle up. Rinse and dry flat. 5. The finished creation!
